We’re Supporting the Cornish Seal Sanctuary
Seals are a fascinating and essential part of the UK’s rich coastal life. Here at Creek Lifestyle, we love to watch these amazing creatures swimming around and basking on the beaches, bringing smiles to our faces.
So, to extend those smiles, we are pleased to announce we are now supporting the SEA LIFE Trust’s Cornish Seal Sanctuary and will donate 5% from the sales of our products which feature seal designs, such as our Inky Seal collection of mugs and kitchen textiles and our Seal Love blanket, to the Sanctuary.
The Cornish Seal Sanctuary
The Cornish Seal Sanctuary rescues and rehabilitates seal pups from around the Cornish coastline. The seal pups could be injured or suffering from malnutrition, or may have been separated from their mums.
Seal Pup Season
During grey seal pup season, which runs from September to March, the Sanctuary cares for more than 70 rescued pups at its Seal Hospital. The average cost to rehabilitate each seal pup, and ensure they are in full health and ready for release back into the wild, is around £2,000.
Other Animals at the Sanctuary
And it’s not just seals that are rescued and cared for at the Sanctuary. It is also the permanent home for many other marine animals who need special care from the Sanctuary’s team of animal experts. As well as seals, residents include puffins, pygmy goats and beavers.
Support the Sanctuary
You can learn about these amazing animals up close by visiting the Sanctuary and supporting its essential work. You could even sponsor a seal pup through rehabilitation to release.
